Hi all,
do you have an inside photo of the box that is on the "hood" of M1117?!
I've seen the various walkaround on the net but I haven't collect good pics of the thing.

It's the winch and the controls for it. Sadly it's about the only thing I do not have on my walkaround, which shows everything in the interior but that.

That is the cover/hatch on the self recovery winch compartment. Inside is a winch drum, motor, and contol box with cord.
It loosk similar to this, which is an electric winch kit for an M35A2/A3 truck:
