Hey! Thanks to Neill's help with Sweet 'N Low snow, I've made significant progress in a long running dio I've nicknamed Kinkaide's nightmare. Anyway, It depicts a single M4A3 Sherman traversing a snowswept ruin somewhere in Europe. The exterior is just about done, but now I've got to turn to making furniture and finishing up the interior.

The house is 100% scratchbuilt. I'm very happy with it. I've also got a tutorial of it's construction running on my homepage http://www.theboors.org/housetut.html.

Let me know what you think...

Nice snow, the crystal look really makes it stand out from other snows. Very nice.
Compositionally it is a nice piece. Very well done.
One thing that stands out to me is the starkness of the big picture window. It's to neat and clean, I would personally like to see a bit of a window frame knocked out or hanging on.

Just a little thing and a personal taste thing too. Very nice.

It's still in progress. I'll be doing some work on the windows and interior work building furniture. I'm converting a german infantryman into an expired german infantryman, for potential use as a casualty to the fight around the cottage.

Thanks for the comments!

chip250, the sherman is a Tamiya M4A3. I used the later version turret cupoula and scatchbuild the bars on the sides for carrying packs. Also, The sack and bucket on the back are from other kits.

Actually, the instructions for snow came from Neill under the listing "help with snow".

Basically, I made a 50/50 mix of white glue and rubbing alcohol. I spread this over the surfaces I wanted covered and then sprinkled Sweet 'N Low over the model. After it dried, I blew off the excess and, as needed, did some spot fixes.

So far it's the best method I've used, but some of the other suggestions in the "help with snow" listing are also very intriguing.

Thanks for your kind words on the scratchbuilding. It was a fun project. I'm looking forward to my next one
