A few months ago I posted some pictures of a Tiger tank in the snow:
Looking at the pics, I noticed something that I had overlooked in person. The tracks did not look right between the first roadwheels and the drive sprocket. I had never noticed before because the lone figure having to remove the towing cable was the focus of the scene.
So, I thought about it for a bit, and, problem solved:
The diorama can remain as is, or any number of enhancements can be made such as piling up fir trees, fences, etc, to disguise it while it awaits towing, or re-add the figure, etc.

Nice save! I take it that this is the Tamiya kit with the silly length and link track system? If it is, I've built a couple of them and have had to do some serious finagling to get the tracks to sit right.

Yet another good one. Where do you find the time for these Glenn?

Worked on these on and off over the past few years. Had a break for the past couple of weeks and worked at an accelerated pace to get the recently posted dioramas done.

bob, link and length frustration is correct and this is a Tamiya Tiger. I used the individual track links AFV Cub did on my early and late production model SkyBow Tigers. They are fussy little things to connect but they do sit and sag properly when in place.
However, on a p[ositive note, I have found that in correcting and/or eliminating pieces from kits that don't fit or look good forces me to find solutions that, in the end, I like much better. This diorama appeals to me much more than it did when it had the track fitted, mostly because it is fun to do scenes with mud.

When at first you don't succeed, give it another whack!
