Hi all,
my LHS has both Verlinden Trophy SA-9 and Dragon Cyber Hobby SA-9. Both priced around 30 Euros. I intend to build the SA-9 based on the Trumpeter BRDM-2. Which of the above mentioned kits is better in terms of accuracy of the launcher assembly?
TIA

Definitely recommend the product will be dragon.
The Trumpeter early BRDM-2 is not a good basis: SA-9 (Sztrela-1) late version built accordingly to the other engine cooling sloping rear of the vehicle.
No OU-3 infrared illuminator, no crutches round (place plate covered), no side monitoring prism, the two manhole cover is not a relative offset, from this point of view, the command version recommend (also early), he builds the engine cooling for the late version accordingly.
Dragon tower Sa-9 must also be (worth) developed and integrated into the body Trumpeter.
If you think I can help, what to do and where to be converted.
Sincerely juge75.

Unless you just HAVE to have this kit NOW.. (and I do know how that feels) you might just give Trumpeter 6 months and maybe they'll have one themselves.

Hi Hans;
Altho i cant speak about what Juhasz is refering too, the Old Verlinden Trophy series are NOT 1/35. They are 1/32, way over-scale. When they first came out with the Trophy series i Purchased everything they made, and scaled them out !
So i would recomened the DML kit, When they came out i purchased everything that Dragon Made.
GOOD LUCK; MIKE.

The only problem with the SA-9 and the SA-13 is the turrets have that large window and you have to scratch the interior. I looked for an AM kit of it but none are available. I will upload some pics of my SA-13 Gopher from skif to show you what I mean.

Hi guys,
that for the clarification, it will be the Dragon kit. I just downloaded a walkaround from Dishmodels so I have an idea what the interior looks like. But first I have to progress with my ZSU-23-4 M model.
