Looks real to me! I really think the streaking is just right and how did you get the glass that shade?

Very cool. Really like the contrast of the three tone camo and the sand colored cab. Nice job, Wingman out.

Fantastic build, very nice.
I note there are plate lights above the windscreen on this version while it can have another type of lights above the windscreen on unarmored M1078.

I am waiting on the M1083 right now to come back in stock and I will get mine and the payload is just shock an aww where did the payload come from who makes it. Is this now going to replace the M978 or is this just used for small loads of fluids.
Your work is just inspiring and the weathering you do is just breath taking.
Just wondering why you didn't used any of the pro art model stuff. I know you couldn't use the cab but what about the other stuff because I know it's expensive so I don't want to get something that wouldn't look right or is it just preference on what used. I seen they have leaf springs now for this truck series I saw in the news part on this site.
I just can't get how amazing your work is and how fast you do it.
Happy Modeling
Bill

The TPU (Tank and Pump Unit) is from Pro Art. It is not replacing any current system. The TPU is actually an older system that was used by the US Army and is being phased out as much as possible. There are still a few floating around for use by non-standard units who need something like MOGAS as opposed to diesel or use just small amounts of diesel and don't need a full fueler.

Wonderful rendition !
I wonder if it's possible to get in a single kit, the 6 wheels chassis (3 axles), with the 2 glasses windshield armor cab ? Just as shown in the Voyager PE35588 detail set pics.
I'm not sure, do you have to get 2 trumpeter kits to bash this one ?
Can someone help ?
Thanks

Unfortunately, Trumpeter has released only 2 variants of the 6x6 M1083 :
kit #01007
kit #01008 (with the RADIAN Armor Crew Kit (RACK) cab) :
so kitbashing two kits (armored M1078 + M1083) is the only option for you project, unless you find a way to order the armored cab sprue separately :
