Do MARSOC marines have the same gear as normal marines or do they have something special

I don't know what normal Marines wear, but I work with MARSOC. They wear the same kit we use in SF. I think it's called the modular tactical vest (MTV) It's coyote colored, as are all of the components that come with it. I've posted photos of me in my kit before. It'll be the same stuff. Ours has a ripcord you can pull that will drop the plates out of the bottom in an emergency. (drowning) The SAPI plates are no different than the older armor that we wore.

There's a Fred Pushies book titled "MARSOC" that describes the guns and gear.

There may be better books out there though...
