I recently purchased a vinyl figure, my first ever, and plan to attach the pieces with two part epoxy. Can anyone tell me what type of filler I'll nees to hide the seam lines? ?

John,

I don't know about 2 part epoxy, I always use CA glues, which I guess you could use as a filler to?

You could use the epoxy as the filler. Put enough epoxy when glueing the parts so that it squishes out from the joint, wipe off excess, and when dry carve or sand to conform to surrounding surfaces.

If it's a vinyl figure it must be large scale? Years ago I (misguidedly) bought a vinyl dragon, measuring about 2 ft long. Vinyl is definately not easy to glue. I used epoxy, but even so, a moderate tap could knock off a leg or wing . In retrospect I could have (and still can as the dragon is in pieces in a box) pinned the parts together with scraps of plastic sprue to strengthen the joints.
