Be interested in suggestions on how you would present an M7 Priest (1/35).

I've searched for crew but the only thing I have found is the Warriors set which is far to expensive for me.

I suspect having the open compartment manned is probably too much to ask for so what else would you suggest?

Cheers,

Nigel

Just today Bill C reviewed the new MB artillery crew. They are American GIs and they are dressed(or undressed) for summer. They would be perfect for a Priest crew, just substitute the correct ammo.

Many thanks.

I had seen that set, but my history knowledge of this area isn't too good so I had assumed that they wouldn't be suitable as a SPG crew - uniform etc.

So following on from this theme, anyone know whether this would work for a British Priest.

speaking from the perspective of a gunner , I served as a gunner on a towed 105 , you need 2 layers 1 loader a commander and a driver plus 2 gunners on the ground to unpack and set charges on crated munitions . Hope this helps P.S I did shoots with just 2 layers a commander and a driver /loader.

Ok I'm not an expert but it seems to depend on when and where your Priest is. In the desert and in sicily soft headgear was worn but most photos of Priests in NWE on D Day and after show infantry helmets being worn.
AFAIK most if not all British Units in NWE replaced their Priests with Sextons by August 1944

20 June 1944
