Hello all
This is my version of Accurate Armour's T-44.
The T-44 were the "missing link" between the two most produces tankt in history, the T-34 and T-54/55.
The kit is ok but not the best AA:kit I've built, It's not very complicated for a resin kit but the suspension needs a little care to look nice.
I've added an antenna, new head lights, towing cables and Friul tracks. The model is painted with Gunze and weathered with acrylics and oil paints.
Some in the works photos...
Regards
/Tomas

I love the T-44,you've done it justice. Trump really needs to release one of these for those of us that don't have deep enough pockets for the resin kits.

That looks great, I'd love to get my hands on one. I'm hoping one day Trumpeter will do a new 54/55 family with a ZSU-57. Where did you find this how much?

Very nice build. Just the other day I was wondering if there were any models of the T44, now I have my answer.

Hi Tomas;
You have given this old kit new life, ive long awaited for this vehicle. AA has done a soso rendering of the T-44, but i think they could have done a Lil Bet Better, esp, for there asking price. However i dont think we will see this Tank any time soon in plastic.

Hi Guys;
Many Many Moons Ago i Kit Bashed two kits and Built the T-44, first i started with an Old Linberg T-55 and a Tamiya T-34/85 with a lot of Scratch & Plastic Cutting, and Spider wheels from another T-34 i Managed too fit everything together. Finally when it was finished, Well it Kinda Looked like a T-44

Hi Tomas,
I've just made a start on the self same model from AA, even got the Friul tracks too! Yours looks great, I especially like the sweep of the saggy tracks in your first three pics - splendid!
Thanks for sharing this and is there anything in particular that caused you problems and that I should know about?
Regards,
Jon

Hi Tomas
I picked up the AA T44 at IPMS Telford last year, when I got it home and had a good look at it, I thought 'my god, what a dog, this'll take some work' but looking at yours, I can't wait to tackle it. I've got the Fruils and Karaya cables, I don't think we'll see this one in plastic, there weren't enough variants to justify a whole new tooling
Well done Tomas great work, love it
Rog.
