Hi Priit,
Have to say your work is remarkable......, a real inspiration to us all who are trying to scratch build our own stuff....., the stove & furniture are excellent!!!
Look forward to seeing this develop further, and thanks for the 'heads up' with the Eduard kitchen equipment, hadn't seen that before, definetly one to add to the 'need to buy list'.....
Well done!!
Simon

Oh, Simon, you make me blush
Your words means to me that I'm not so noobie, like I think. I just love to make something good for nothing or as cheaply as possible.

Lovely work, my only niggle is the size of the "logs" They look pretty big to me. Scale out at what? 12-16 inches in diameter at least, dressed. Most of the photos I've seen of settled areas in Russian don't show trees of that size so I might have gone with a smaller diameter and used more of them but that is just me. The above comment about the chinks being filled is true. Usually stuffed with moss and plastered with clay.
The oven is a work of art, as is the rest of it. Well done.

Are you going to distress the outside walls though? It looks a bit to 'clean' I think.
It looks great, but I have to agree with this post .... the logs are too perfect ... too round. It would have been good to roughen them up some first, and maybe even add some bark with putty, as well as pack in-between the individual logs.

About Russia I don't know but in Estonia yes, they have. My grandmother also have this and it still working. Very very nice machine. Her mother (my grand-grandmother ) bought this in early '30's.

Wow,excellent work. My mom had one of those that some one had converted to electric in the 50s. They were just about indestructable.
