This is the Tamiya M48A3 plus Panzer Models wheels, Eduard PE, Legends Accessory kit, TWD turret/cupola, Barrel Depot barrel, Pontos .50 barrel, Tiger Models stowage bin handles, unknown resin bolts and some styrene. Just realized I didnt glue on the water can holder on the left rear turret. Not shown yet are the AFV Club T97E tracks and the Wolfpak Decals plus Legends stowage and SKP lenses. I also lowered the suspension and filled in the motorization holes. Almost ready for paint. Any suggestions or critiques are welcome

Jason,
It's looking good!
I guess with all that AM stuff on her you're taking one for the team? Just as soon as the paint has dried AFV club will post the release date of their M48A3
Cheers

Is there anything you didn't replace, other than the hull? I love these builds and your Patton looks great(excepting the pitch)!

The hull and stowage boxes are about all thats left. I was able to mostly correct the pitch by bending the arms. Luckily the picture makes it look worse than it really was

Nice work Jason. Looks great with all the aftermarket.
Neat to see the photo of the real Hell Kat too.
Are you going to add the additional stowage box (?) and spare tracks to the front fender?

I am gladyou mentioned this as I didn't even pick up on it. Spare track is easy- need to see if I can find a better picture of the stowage box. Thanks!

I talked to a friend of mine who was on M48s in Vietnam. He did some digging and he thinks that front box isn't stowage but a left over reservior from a dozer blade. And I just built a nice stowage box too!

Jason,
Nice build. I am curious if you have some pictures of the rear of Hell Kat as you have added the grill door and tail light reinforcements although Hell Kat appears to be an early model M48A3. The reinforced doors and lights along with reinforced fenders, the cupola riser, and the M48A2 style headlights came out as part of the M48A3 Modification B "package" in mid 1968.

Like I said, just curious...

No, unfortunately I don't have a rear shot for Hell Kat. All I had to really go on was the pic above and two frontal shots from tanks from the same company. I wasn't aware all those mods were tied together, so I went with what seemed most common for the rear. The friend I had who was in Vietnam on M48s said there ended up being a hodge podge of features on them after repairs and replacements from Guam, so I guessed.
