I hope that this is the definitive completed-at-3:28 PM-on-Saturday, Dec. 9, 1944-by-Karl-Heintz Scmidt Ausf.G I've been hoping for. I already have the definitive completed-at-10:31:56 AM-on-Tuesday, Dec. 5, 1944-by-Klaus "Dixie" Thaler version.
Seriously, thanks for the info, Kevin. I am going to get one.

OK. At least one may get into this one without having to contemplate that big bug-bear question of mid-war German armor... Zimmerit. In this case, being a DEC 1944 production, you will be safe in not having any!
BTW: This "zimm-freedom" could make this one attractive, as it appears that you may get a late StuG III with "rundumfeuer" MG for the top (wonder if you would also get a full under-top set of stuff for this? THAT would be kinda COOL!). I'll assume, as it shows the rear rack and the rails for the schurtzen, that you will get a set of skirts for this old lady.
IF it comes with that rundumfeuer and the schurtzen, this one just may be the 3rd Dragon StuG III kit I'll buy with intent to actually build it!

Finally the final version I've been waiting for, too! Just hope Dragon doesn't release the late final version next!

Thanks, Kevin, for posting this. It will set off the usual debates about the kit's usefulness, but my feeling is it looks interesting for the modeler who wants every version. Probably not so interesting in and of itself, except for the Zimmerit-phobic.

Like sausage or anchovies on a pizza, that's extra.

From the picture, it looks to have rails for the schurzen. If this is December 1944, it makes me wonder, what version would have the shurzen with the rounded bottoms that swing rather than are fixed in place. I don't think Dragon has ever released a Stug III with those, at least not in recent memory.

Schurzen with rouned bottoms are not of a particular version... it seems they were used on different versions... I didn't understand if they were field modifications or factory released...
