Hello,
I'd say there is little importance in the type of printer. The points are you must have a good printer (a cheap and basic one doesn't render your markings well enough for decals) and your decal paper must suit the printer type (laser or inkjet).
That being said, the advantage of a laser one over an inkjet is that the markings are not prone to "leak" if you accidentally drop some water on them before you seal them.
