I just started build my second model , a Japanese medium tank Type 97 Chi-ha and plan to add four Japanese infantry to a diorama setting. The tank first saw action in 1939 in the Nomonhon Incident which think was against the Russians. It then saw action in Malaya at the beginning of the Pacific War. This will be my first building a diorama from scratch. Any suggestions would be very helpful

Thanks

Well, I remember something on the History Channel about this guy telling about his unit of guys during W.W.II (can't remember what unit it was), but anyway, they were on some covert mission and he said that they heard these Japanese tanks coming, so they got in a drainage ditch type thing and the tanks rolled over the ditch just feet from them without seeing them. It's been a while, so the details are sketchy, but something like that would be cool I would think, or the gun emplacement that dustoff suggested. I’m just glad to see someone doing Pacific Theater for a change.

This was probably the documentary on the rescue of prisoners at Cabanatuaon (sorry for the spelling) in the Phillipines.

Also, Dragon released a set of "windtalkers" models, which were Japanese army and US Marines. I think there was a pretty good number of figures in the box (8-16 if I remember right). Might be worth looking for.

Also, in the features section, there are some good tutorials on making palm trees and jungle flora.
