Hello guys!

I hope someone can help. I am currently building a UK HET (1070F) and would like to make the version as depicted in the Armorama book "British next generation armour", i.e. the version with the armoured cab.

The pictures in the book provide excellent references for the cab, except the rear of the cab as a whole. There is an air conditioning unit mounted on the upper rear, but there are not enough details as to how it is mounted and where all the cables and hoses are. It also seems as if the rear of the cab did not receive armour plates, is that a correct observation on my part?

Secondly, does anybody know how the roof hatch opens? I assume it is a "lift and turn/twist" kind of hatch, even though I am baffled how that is done without fouling the long "grab handles" on the roof top.

last of all, does anyone have any pics of the cab roof with the mg ring mount added above the hatch area?

Lots of questions, any help (and pics) you can provide or refer me to in these three areas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Joseph, yupp Google is definitely our friend most of the time, but unfortunately in this case it has not helped me with the specific variant I am looking for.

Hi Frenchy, you are absolutely correct, that is exactly the variant I am looking for. Unfortunately, I am not having much luck finding detailed pics apart from the ones in the Armorama book, and the areas I am wondering about are not shown.

The Prime Portal pics have been a great help in my project, though I am unable to find pics from the outside of the hatch opened up.
