just watched a docu, telling me the ERA blocks where introduced in 1985 , doesn't that mean I need to put a main gun with thermal sleeve?
just wondering because the T62M model I build (with the eyebrow armour)has a gun with thermal sleeve included (witch I already build with the metal non thermal sleeved gun)

I'd say its hit or miss on what 62M's had the thermal sleeved gun. The majority of 62M pics I've seen from Afghanistan don't have the sleeve. As with all Russian tanks, some got the whole upgrade package, others only got some of the upgrade package.

thank you for repley, but from what I've read the version with era didn't get out of the USSR,on the other hand you're right about the upgrade and thus confusion about what version has witch features

I was using Afghanistan as an example to illustrate that upgrades were not uniform. I've seen 62MV's without the sleeve too.
