I have to agree on this one, I did pick the St George cross deliberately when I first joined. No disrespect to any of the other countries in the GB, I'm just proud to be English as I'm sure any Scot or Irish or Welsh is to have their own identity. [Plus it is ENGLAND in the rugby world cup final, not Britain lol]

If you guys are really good.... Lol...
I actually predicted this request and saved the other flags as sub-selections. I will have to build in the right "IF" statement in the code. So be patient Brits and you may yet get to be England'rs again.

No
I think I am understanding why the "United EU" concept is having a hard time in the UK. They can't decide whether they even want to be a "United" Kingdom. hehe

Greetings,
I would VERY MUCH like to return to picking your own flag. I am a European (by birth, ethnicity, language, religion, etc.) living in North America and I would very much like my flag glyph to reflect me more accurately while still being able to show where I am currently. With due respect to Canadians and Americans who are proud to be so, I just wish to be represented by my national flag, not others,
Thank You.

I am afraid there is no going backwards on the selecting your flag manually function.
However you do have the option of a graphical banner in your sig-line. If you want to have your location set correctly you could always opt to use that feature to show connectiona and pride for your homeland.
Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim :-)
Naaaah! Forget all this Europe mumbo jumbo!... Even Saint George is a young foreign upstart!!!
If we're going to get this right, we should go back to the Cross of Saint Edward!!
I love being a Brit!!... My Christian name's Scottish, my surname Norman, I have both Irish and England ancestry... all I need is some Welsh blood to be complete!.. .. we've just got so much history!! :-)
All the best
Rowan

Okay, here's an objective point of view on the UK or GB:
Scotland: absolute great country; nice, very friendly people. If Belgium wasn't so great I'd defenitely move to Scotland (btw. Edinburgh Tattoo rocks, will be back next year).
Wales: great country, equally nice people, shame about the indecipherable placenames.
England: very nice country, a bit of a shame that there live so many Englishman
Kris
Ooops, nearly forgot Northern Ireland, but can't comment, haven't been there yet.

What a great debate!
Well, I will throw my tuppence worth to this and ask for the cross of St Patrick. This must be the most unknown flag in the UK let alone Europe.
Come on Norn Iron!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Northern Ireland to all the non Irish out there!) :-)

Errrhh hmm, we have had the Romans, the Norwegians, the Spanish, the Austrians, the Dutch, the French, the Germans (twice) and a couple of other, but as far as I know no English. You are the only ones who haven't got their *bleep* kicked out of our country (by somebody else ). But hey, there's a first time for everything. #:-) #:-)

You know, at first I did'nt see the "L" in the word flag...an as for all the "Englishmen" living there, ... i've always said that Europe was great except for all the foreigners. Anyway...i'm in Alabama, so hows about a Confederate Battle Flag for me?

NEWSFLASH:
THE WAR CLOUDS ARE STILL GATHERING ACROSS EUROPE AS WAR SEEMS INEVITABLE. ENGLISH TROOPS ARE REPORTED TO BE PREPARING TO INVADE SCOTLAND AND THE SCOTTISH HAVE BEEN SHARPENING THEIR HAGGISSES IN PREPARATION FOR A LONG AND BITTER STRUGGLE. MEANWHILE THERE ARE RUMOURS OF THE SAS PARACHUTING INTO BELGIUM TO RECONOITRE LANDING BEACHES, A SPOKESMAN AT THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE IS QUOTED AS SAYING "IT IS STILL NOT TOO LATE TO ADD BELGIUM TO THE BRITISH EMPIRE."
IN A FURTHER TWIST AMERICA IS READYING FOR CIVIL WAR AS AN OUTBREAK OF CONFEDERATE FLAG WAVING HAS SUDDENLY FLARED UP. THE PRESIDENT HAS MADE A STATEMENT SAYING THAT A MYSTERIOUS FIGURE CODE NAMED "STAFF-JIM" HAS BEEN USING HIS PREVIOUSLY UNKNOWN ARMOURAMA NETWORK TO SPONSOR UPRISINGS IN THE FORMER GREAT BRITAIN AND EUROPE. RUMOURS SURROUNDING THIS FIGURE SUGGEST HIS DICTATORIAL REMOVAL OF CERTAIN COUNTRIES' EMBLEMS HAVE CAUSED MASSIVE UNREST AMONG HIS DISCIPLES AND THERE SEEMS NO END TO HIS DESIRE TO CAUSE GLOBAL WAR.

Wish granted. If you'd prefer to have the Union Jack you can select "No Region Selected" in your account profile area.
