I don't usually do Braille but I bought this model on a whim, having passed over the 1/35 scale version. I have bought previous Braille Dragon and was impressed with the detail, but was a little disappointed with the minimalistic approach to this model. All the hatches and view ports of the drivers cab are moulded shut, and the deck rail stanchions are moulded in the folded position flat on the deck. Lengths of hanging chain barely resemble real chain and should be replaced. Because of the low parts count, you could probably slap this kit together in an hour; slightly longer if you're a careful modeler; and a couple of days if you want to open hatches, replace stanchions, etc.

Biggles, at first I thought you were talking about the Panzerfahre type 1 as per this review (a great reviewer by the way )but then I saw your comment about moulded stanchions and chains, while I said this: "and then there is the matter of the folding railings and cables that should line both sides of the deck, and which are illustrated in the painting guide and box art, but are totally absent from the kit."
Are you talking about the Type 2 kit? Photos to see what you mean would be good...

Same kit. The box art (probably the same as the 1/35 kit) shows all hatches open and the guard rail supports (stanchions) in the raised position. It's an OK kit - detail is crisp and fit is good. Just a little disappointed in the closed hatches. I'm having to construct a new driver's box with open hatches and a bit of interior detail. I was wrong about the chain as it's the motorcycle type of chain and not regular open link type, but it's still not too convincing. BTW, I'm not panning your review as we agree on most points - few parts, fast build, some simplifications, good fit, etc. Just not exactly as advertised on the box art. I hadn't seen your review previously.
