Firstly Happy Easter everyone. I hope you are all getting some quality modelling done over the 4 day weekend.

My question is regarding the M2A2 Bradley mantlet. I am working on the Tamiya kit and I am making the necessary corrections as I go. The mantlet in both the Tamiya and Academy kits is moulded in one piece, however in referance pictures, only the centre part over the Bushmaster has flexable material as a dust cover. Is it only the centre part with the cannon that elevates while the outer parts of the mantlet remain in place? Thanks in advance.

Yes, as Dan's example shows above, only the center part with the 25mm cannon elevates and depresses. The coax MG does elevate and depress as well, but only moves within the cut out area of the mantlet, the mantlet in front of it doesn't move.

Thank you Dan & Gino. I appreciate your help. What I want to do is to show the Bushmaster elevated about 25 - 30 degrees, with the coax level. Just got to figure how I'll do it. Good thing I have a big stash of Evergreen.

Thanks again.

That can't happen. The Bushmaster and coax MG are on the same mount and move together. They can not be independantly moved. The coaxial MG also uses the same sight as the main gun, so you can select the MG and precisely engage targets with the gunner's primary sight.
