For some time I was practicing printing my own decals using color laser and inkjet printers and got good results, but only on limited number of subjects. Basically I am able to print black decals, but not much else. But what I needed for my models were white decals (mostly for Vietnam era vehicles) and green decals (for modern vehicles in NATO 3-tone camouflage - stencils and other markings applied over black portions of camo are often painted in forest green). These two colors I was not able to print, so I needed some solution. The rescue came from Mike Grant (http://mikegrantdesign.com/decals/index.html). Actually I didn't plan to ask Mike to print those decals for me, but I got in contact with him to ask about some F/A-18 Hornet decals he printed for someone else long time ago. He offered to print those airplane decals for me and as one of payment options he suggested that I can send him a model from Choroszy company from Poland. I agreed, but the value of this model + shipping costs to Canada was much more than the cost of one Hornet decal sheet (although it was still much less then Mike would have to pay for this kit in Canada). Then I came with the idea of asking Mike to print some AFV decals for me. I didn't want to bother Mike with all the design process - I did all this work myself. I sent him a decal design in a file ready to print. The only difficulty was to get the green color right - I was not able to choose the right green on my computer screen, so Mike bought a bottle of Tamiya XF-67 NATO Green paint and matched the color of the decal to this paint. I must say that result is great - almost perfect match!
So now I have what I wanted, but I though that some of you here may be interested in getting them as well!
Decal 1 (black and green) - this decal sheet contains the same decals printed twice, once green and once black. They are meant to be used over NATO 3-tone camouflaged vehicles. Black decals should be used over forest green and brown portions of camo, and green decals should go on black camo paint. Sometimes the text goes over both black and lighter camouflage areas and then part of it is black and part green - my suggestion is to apply the black decal first, let it dry thoroughly. Then cut the appropriate part of green decal - observe where black decal disappeared on black camouflage to get correct cut line - and apply it on top of black one. Decal contains:
- several complete USMC registration numbers
- individual "USMC" and all digits for making your own numbers
- various stencils for M977 HEMTT truck
- various stencils for M978 HEMTT tanker ("flammable" and other stencils, several versions)
- vehicle numbers for LVTP7/AAVP7A1.
This decal sheet may require some instructions to use properly - Mike does not provide any, but I can prepare some for anyone interested.
Picture here (green color is not representative to what is on actual decal sheet): http://vodnik.net/images/posty/Decal1.jpg
Decal 2 (white):
- selection of some complete US Army registration numbers, ready to use (authentic numbers, mostly of M113s from Vietnam era)
- separate "US ARMY" text and individual digits and letters to make any registration and bumper numbers.
- "lift here" stencils - mostly for M113s
Picture here (all decals are shown as black, but they are white on the actual decal sheet): http://vodnik.net/images/posty/Decal2.jpg
Note that whole decal sheets are covered with decal film. You have to cut around individual decals yourself. Decals react very well to Microscale Set and Sol solutions, but Mike does not recommend the Solvaset.
The cost of the single decal sheet should be about $18 (USD) plus shipping, but contact Mike for details to make sure! I do not get a penny from this amount, all money goes to Mike.
If you are interested, contact Mike Grant at [email protected].
Best Regards,
Pawel

I have some of their dry transfers, but I needed things they don't offer. They also don't have forest green decals.
