More Aussie modeling - in large scale.
http://tinyurl.com/c3yl3tz
Recommended are the 1:32 No Hope Coast, and the tiny Arizona Gravel Company in 1:35. Both these modelers are using "HO" gauge track to take advantages of mechanisms designed to run on it. The steam engine on No Hope Coast is adopted from the well-know Fleischmann 0e (1:45) engine, mostly by adding a larger-scaled cab and replacing details.
Kim Marsh's scenes can look a bit like caricature, but he has brilliant design-layout skills - I love the narrow "alley" the track runs in, and modeling skills - such as seen in the Hope Hotel.
He also does a masterful job with details, and tying the whole scene together to create a credible "whole". A web search on his name should turn up other examples of his work.
Here is his latest creation – Bluetop Salvage. Not a lot of operating track, as it looks like he’s turned his interests to industrial modeling.
There is much discussion and photos of the development of this scene on Free Rails (and elsewhere), a forum in the U.K. -

Love that work, thanks for showing.
I am jalous about the energy the guy has to paint all those little details.
