"Nothing says Christmas like a war."
Sure their trained killers, but THIS IS CHRISTMAS dude.

Okay, had an idea for a GPB. Group Photo Build. You can use a pre-existing figure/model/dio for this one.

Using a subject of you choosing, decorate it as it would have been during wartime at the holiday time of year or add something to an existing dio that says "It's Christmastime", a tree with found-object decorations on it, homemade tinsil drapped across a hootch or vehicle. There are stories of guns on the battlefield going silent to the sounds of christmas songs being sung from the trenches and decorated trees being passed around between soldiers or setup on a bunker. Or you could scratch a "charley brown type" scale tree for your tank/truch/bunker. Or, a soldier reading a card from home, sharing food, toasting the Holidays. Anything. Even a non christian traditional holiday, if that suites your fancy. (I'm trying to be open to all denominations here)

Then there are only two steps left...photograph it and submit only ONE image to the site and (this may be the hardest part of the project) convince your spouse to let you use it either as an email card to family and friends(like your friends here at Armorama) or actually use the photo on a card to be mailed. A photo of a mailed/stamped card would be proof enuf. The card sent the longest distance would be cool. Would have to prove that one also.

There's plenty of time to get these things in the mail by xmas. Even to a soldier overseas. Think about the joy on the face of a soldier in a far-away land when their eyes gaze upon your masterpiece. Nothing reminds them of home like a photo of the vehicle their livin'g in all gussied up for xmas. Well just a thought...but i'm gonna do one.

Wie Gehts, kglack!

Dude... Outstanding idea! I've no doubt that will go over well here; Count me in, provided I can get my T2K kit done with time left (If I ain't, I can still dress up a completed WWII Willys MB jeep)... The Xmas card for the troops is a wonderful thought, it's nice to see people thinking about our Brothers and Sisters in the servive who probably won't be home for the Holidays...
