Howdy everyone, I've been rewatching Generation kill as well as reading the books by Rolling Stone and I want to build the 5 HMMWV's that belonged to second platoon. I've been trying to do research online as well as from the show and here's what I've come up with so far.
VO1-Team 1 “ICE MAN”
M1025, BFT, MK.19, Rear Jerry Can Rack, door windows removed
VO2-Team 1 “Garza”
M998, Side rails, .50cal custom mount, jerry can rack, no doors/roof, roof frame (possibly 1025 without hardtop), windshield removed
VO3-Team 2 “Fruity Rudy”
M1025, Mk.19, no doors/trunk, Rear Jerry Can Rack
VO4 “Lieutenant Fick” Command Vehicle
M1038/M998 Cargo vehicle/Rear Canvas for stowage bed, Rear Jerry Can Rack
VO5 “Doc”
M998, .50cal custom mount, no doors/roof, hard frame, spare tire in back, Rear Jerry Can Rack

Do I have the right M series designation, I'm unsure if they're all M1025's or if they are a mixed bag of 998's and 1025's. With regards to the stowage what would the gear be in 2003 Iraq for Marines? Molle or Molle II.
If anyone else has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

I found a picture of V04, Lieutenant Fick's Vehicle from OIF. In Generation Kill it was depicted with the doors on, but from what I'm seeing in images only VO1 "Iceman's" Vehicle had doors on it.

It's interesting to see it's completely NATO/Forest Green.

Here's VO1, you can tell because Evan Wright aka Rolling Stone is wearing the desert MOPP while "Iceman" Ray, and presumably walt are wearing the Woodland MOPP.
