Hi!
As a matter of fact, the figures was half painted already when I post the first time.
Now I´m building the building and terrain.
I´m using the Concord Publications - Battleground Lebanon #1003 as reference, specially the upper photo on page 9, where an israeli squad are in a corner of a building at the outer reaches of Ein el-Hilweh refugee camp near Sidon.
Cheers

Fugures look pretty good. Only comment I would make is that RPG gunner looks like he has no neck. You may need to adda piece of plastic rod and sculp a neck. He looks like a turtle hiding in his shell. Other than that, they need a little weathering and they'll be great. I also used the DML set for my Dio "Trouble in the Gaza" (as seen here and here).

Hi HeavyArty, thanks for the comments...
As I said, the figures are incomplete, and I´ll make more weathering on them, the RPG guy, is another story, I saw a pic on the Concord book and the guy on that pic looked so funny because I think he was wearing a helmet too big for his head... and when I build that figure (it´s an Academy set) I liked the cuirious way it turned into, so I decided to keep it taht way, as you know, not all soldiers are super heroes type!
Cheers

Neat,
I just wrote a paper on that war. Nice to see a model of it.

Hello!
Here is the completed dio or vignete. It take a long to be finished, but I really like the end result.
I´m open for the critics and suggestions, don´t be shame!
Enjoy!
That´s it! I hope to hear your voices!
Cheers!

Nice figures on a neat vignette, only the figure in the middle is a little strange.
Can you tell me what colour you just for the sand/dust.
Greetz Rob!

Hi Rob,
For the dust color I just mixed some dry pastel chalks until I get a color that makes me satisfied, I also sprayed some Tamiya acrilics, dark yellow mixed with some buff.
Regards

My only gripe is the guy with the rocket grenade doesn't seem to me to be the first guy I'd want rounding a corner.
Where did you get the arabic wall writing? nice effect.

Hi!
The arabic writing was made by hand and I used a poster pic on a book as a template, and I don´t know what is writing either!
I used the guy with rocket lancher because it´s pose was the best fit for that position, just it...
Cheers

hey Paulo,
I like the vignate mucho grandes, and I'm glad to see that the middle east conflicts are popular (I'm biased but they are still my main intrest).
I have a few suggestions though:
1. more white dust on the guys- there was lots of concrete dust because Beirut was bombarded from the air and from SPGs. gray pigments and dry brushing should do the trick.
2. again, urban destruction. I'd scatter more rubble between the troops.
3. throw away the Uzi. the IDF withdrew the Uzi SMG from combatant units after the Yom Kippur war due to its short effective range, low penetration of the 9mm ammo and low precision as opposed to the Arab infantry's AK47 and the M-16s that were procured from the US during the war (we had the FN FAL but this broomstick wasnt on par with modern ARs of the period). give the RPGist either a Glilon SAR or an M-16A1.

Thanks Elad;
About the weapons, I had to work with I got in hands, you know? It was a matter of nothing else to put in their hands, so is it!
I´ll try to add a little bit more of concrete dust and debris, thansk for the hints.
Shalom!
