Would you believe that Tamiya has already discontinued their TS-82 spray paint? No joke.
So any suggestions on what to get for black rubber color? Maybe something by Krylon or some automotive store paint brand?

I recommend Tamiya NATO black. You can also go with PolyScale/Floquil. Grimy black is very close to NATO black.

Tom
Two possibilities - one is Tamiya XF 85 Rubber Black (in the 10ml bottle), the other is Vallejo Dark Rubber (306).

If you are spraying it I'd go for Tamiya NATO Black as Matt suggested but if you are painting I'd definetly recommend Vallejo's Dark Rubber as Rob suggested.

Unless you are really seeking to create that deep black of tires at a certain stage of death (or like those "blacked tires" one sees on used car-lots)...
I would suggest Floquil Weathered Black - which is my go-to when doing tires and rubber on road-wheels.

Due to ready availability, your suggestion is the best bet. Thanks!
