Hi there, Which is the best type of paint in Humbrol to paint the nose gear and main gear in the aircraft's kits the HB-34 Matte White (FS37875) or the HB-22 Gloss White (SF-18875)?
Cheers.
Leal Antoniazzi Pedro.

Hi antoniazzip
I don't have a reference for FS18875, but FS*7875 is distinctly off-white in my FS colour fan.
Anyway, as far as I can tell from Humbrol's catalogue, their two whites are pretty much identical in tone, so whether to use gloss or matt paint really depends on your painting technique.
In general, matt paint is probably simpler to apply, and dries quicker. However, if you want to apply washes, a gloss finish works best.
Hope this is some help
