I understand that the body type that will be given in Dragon's upcoming Ambulance is a common type that has different uses, but I can find no pics or info about that.
Can someone recomend a place to find info?

Dan, assume you're talking about Dragon kit no. 6766; I believe that body type is called an Einheitskofferaufbau so you could try doing a search on that term, and / or, I suggest, parts of that term, like "Einheits" and "kofferaufbau" separately in conjunction with "Maultier" or "Blitz" etc.

It is the same body as appeared on the Fujimi kit that I reviewed here - notice the halftrack version just has the rear wheel arch covered over.

For the ambulance version (and perhaps some "office" versions) they have the roof windows, others are similar, but an ordinary roof.

The Nuts and Bolts Maultier book also contains references to this vehicle, but not totally convinced it would help that much if you're only interested in this variant, as it covers so many Maultier types that it is quite light on this particualr version.

Matt, I spent some time tonight looking up your recommendations, and I think the double door is for the ambulance version and the single door is for the other versions.
Just a idea so far. Italeri's old kit has the single door.

Apparently, a Maultier-based shelter truck was used for the V2 rocket operations. The body looks quite similar, save the rear door... :
