Hi
Just wondering if you can heat up the after maket resin part and bend it to the shape you want?
Thank you
Jay

To a point, best use hot water and gentily bend it to shape, to fix the position run it cold water.

Dan is right, although for resin track I used to heat them up with a blow dryer after installed to give them just the right sag. You have to be very careful with this though.

I second Robert. I find it easier to heat both resin and styrene with a blow dryer.

To further that, I have even made masks and coned shaped channels to pinpoint the heat.

From past experience with my Chieftain mk 11
I used blow dryer, set at 1850W, with a concentrator nozzle, blew at around 30cm away for 30 seconds interval, then tried to bend, repeat as necessary, then cold water to release the heat stress and shape it permanently

You can heat them gently using boiling/real hot water or a hair dryer. Which works best depends uopon exactly what resin is being used and they are not all the same!Just wondering if you can heat up the after market resin parts

and bend it to the shape you want?
No, you can't. Polyurethane resins are thermoset resins and, while they will soften somewhat with heat and can be moved a bit (like straightening warped parts) they are not thermoplastic, like polystyrene kits, and will not take radically different shapes with the application of heat.
A thermoplastic armoured skirt can be turned into an airplane cowling, with heat and the right mould. A resin armoured skirt can not.

hi
I personally have never succeeded in a heated room, for against the best solution is to give shape to the piece before it hardens permanently
