Hi gang!
I´m about to buy a kit of the Skybow WC63 Big Shot, but I don´t have any reference of it.
I´d like to hear some advices about this kit pros and cons.
And also if it was used only on WWII or later.
Any help will be very welcomed!
Cheers

a better kit you could not buy. An excellent OOB build. Yes the French especially used heaps of them in Africa and Vietnam post war with minor mods to the cooling system and tyres.

Outstanding kit Paulo and you don't need a reference book nor aftermarket stuff to build this kit. It is wonderful as it comes in the box! There are no pitfalls to warn you about if you take your time and build the kit properly. It responds to gentle handling and careful assembly. There are no terrible mold seams or ejector pin marks that you can't address - and none that destroy visible parts of the miniature.
The trucks were used by the US through the Korean War and afterwards through the mid to late '50's. As Cliff pointed out, there were Foreign users of this truck too during the same time period.

Hi Paulo
2 recent books that may be worth a look, especially if you are looking for informations about French Dodge :
"Militar's Kit #5 The Dodge" (MK Editions)
"Dodge : sur les voies de la liberté" by Jean-Michel Boniface (published by ETAI)
Both are written in French but they have plenty of pics...
