Arthur:
This fig is stunning! I've give my next paycheck to be able to do anything even remotely close to your efforts here.
Care to share the types of paint used, how you weathered/highlighted etc?????? Thanks.

I agree with these guys, really excellent work. Those winter uniforms are right up there with black uniforms as the toughest style to recreate, and you have hit it dead on.

Arthur,
I cannot give you any suggestion due to the fact that I'm not an expert at all on the specific matter, but at first sight your work looks very impressive to me...
Ciao

have to agree. Excellent work Arthur! I suggest if you want to take this further ... put your efforts into a stunning base for him! Its the least a figure like this deserves!

Arthur:
Great work on this guy, two things really stand out: The scratch built sling and clasp really look nice, it's amazing how big a detail that is and most manufacturers just leave it off. Secondly I like the added strap on the gas mask cannister, looks good.
Might be the light and angle (and there may be variations) but I usually do the canteen strap a flat black, I think that's what most of my refs show. But I could be wrong as well or it could be really worn.
Really nice job on the equipment on this guy. How hard was it going back to a styrene kit after all those resin kits? I usually find the detail seems a little "flat" when you go back to a plastic kit....

Nate you could be right about the strap on the GM canister, the illustrations i went on showed the strap the same colour as the sling that went over the shoulder,i suppose it depends on the artist,,i dont find much difference in working with plastic or resin,i just enjoy it all.Hi Plastic,i always try and keep my bases and ground work simple,so as not to detract from the figure,if on the other hand its a vignette then the base has to be part of the story.
