Hi guys,

What was the common camouflage scheme of the maz537 tank transporter during the late 1980s to early 90s? Did they use the three-tone sand, green and black or the other variety of green, black and grey?

I have the trumpy maz kit and in the color plate it shows the grey green black scheme but I am not sure and can't find any www reference that backs up if it was used during late 80s early 90s.

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

Most transporters were just plain green. I just checked my Tankograd book about Russian tank transporters. I only saw 1 pic of a late Maz with green-black-light grey camouflage. Only problem is it has a different trailer than trumpeter offers. I also saw 3 small pics of what seems to be a green-black-white vehicle, but this one looked so clean it might be privately owned.

hth,

Matthijs
