A couple of GI's shootin' the crap!

One thing I did forget to mention was that I also use Hudson & Allen 'US' stencils on the webbing equipment. You'll have to look closely but it is there.

Joe.

I like these guys! Belts look big, but who cares anyway. The M60 gunner was always number two or number three behind the point man. The point man traveled light, and would have anything that made a noise removed or taped down (slings etc.) He would have two or three belts on him, as when they made contact he'd be the closest guy to the M60. Next time add a small orange juice can to the side of the 60 to aid feeding the belt. Cans varied in size, and I've even seen them use a beans & weinies can. Some guys used the sling on the 60, and some didn't. I always used the sling when off loading from a slick, but removed it almost as soon as I was on the ground.

The Bravo 6 figures are impressive! I saw them at the show in Indy, and should have bought some of them. Your painting technics are very impressive Joe!

Hi Gary,
These belts are from TANK, I think.
I know you cant see in these photos but there is a 'juice' can attached to the '60. I remembered to add it from when you told me before.
Glad you like them though.

Joe.

glad you added the orange juice can. I learned the hard way.
Have you ever tried doing bigger scale figures?

we used to do advance party CA's, and I was always number one on the ground with the 60. First couple times I was number two with Top being one, but I landed ontop him once or twice, and I gained the promotion (or demotion). I did have the radio man land on top me once, and thought he broke my leg! There is absolutely nothing fun about breaking jungle, but looking back I could almost write a book about the funny stuff. My favorite one was the number four man falling in a bomb crater and landing ontop a skeleton. Forty+ years later I still laugh about it! But Randy still dosn't think it was so funny!
