I just received a 6" Howitzer kit and went to the Accurate Armour site to discover they've pretty much removed their Matador kits. While I appreciate these are supposed to be exquisite creations, they run $160 in the US.

Does anyone know if a styrene Matador is imminent?

AFV Club has announced an early AEC Matador. Seems a logical choice as the Dorchester uses the same chassis. I think the AEC Mk III armoured car does as well! Hope that helps!
Check the AFV Club new kit news on Perth MMS.

I will be honest Bill nothing has been said but the way the Dorchester kit is designed makes me believe AFV Club will be making an announcment soon.

Have seen on other sites AFV will be doing the AEC Matador, early type, listed as kit # AF35236, even saw a early drawing of truck. Drawing of actual truck, not model.

Hope this helps,

Dan.

If I remember correctly, HobbyBoss announced the Diamond T in one of the shows a while ago.. I just can't find the pic.

Yeah AFV Club have the Matador in the works

AFV Clubs New Year Announcments

I can't help but feel sorry for Accurate Armour. Some great kits but with many of them now either out in plastic or at least works in progress there's just no way for resin kits to compete. I've been waiting a year for Hobbyboss to confirm the M19 and if it hadn't been for waiting for that in plastic I would've happily bought the AA one. Sorry to say but given the choice I'll take plastic first every time.

I wouldn't feel sorry for AA and I don't think they are into a competition either. Some modelers really like working with resin other than a simple plastic kit.

Besides, AA offers a whole line of items not rivaled by a plastic kit, so I think they are in good shape and would build from them again and will soon!

Speaking of AFV Club, does anyone know a release date on the MBT-70 and the LARC-V?
Those are a few that I need to have! And that HobbyBoss AT-1.
