This is a dio I did in an afternoon using spare bits and extra stuff I had lying around. I used a piece of spongy foam for the base, cut out the trench part and glued it to a wooden base I had purchased for a few dollars at a craft store, and covered with Polyfila mixed with various umber shades. I had the Tamiya Panzer III turret left over from the extra turret sprue I ordered when I wanted the commander's cupola for a beutepanzer T-34. I have the blown-off turret as a makeshift observation post. I used the "scissors" periscopes from the Tamiya Hetzer kit (again, an extra sprue)and covered the cupola opening with a "tarp" of tissue paper and white glue. Tamiya textured snow effects paint and some grass mat pieces were used to complete the groundwork. The Russian figure was left over from a diorama I had changed.
