Hi all.

Still working on my Tiran 5 and I've started on the search light beside the main gun. Want to do the wiring to it, but can't seem to find any decent pictures of where the wiring goes. Like the wiring coming straight down from the light itself and bends around a support and connecting point is obscured.


I can kind of see where it goes here, but still not very clear. Also the wiring to the smaller light mounted next to the searchlight. Anyone have any better info? Thanks.

The wires go into the metal conduit that ends right near the search light bracket. Its molded into the Tamiya turret.

This should help alot. This is a light mount for a T-62, but both the T55/62 use the same mount. There is a hole in the base that the main light sits on that the electrical cable goes through and plugs into the bottom of the light. As for the smaller IR light there is a round junction box box next to the light that has leads running into it that in turns has another wire running to the back of the light. The main lead goes into the tubing seen just behind the light.

Not that amazing. Did the same on my T-55A

Model for fun, but feels good when you get it to look just right. Getting more into adding little details like that to make it look better. Bought my first couple of Etch sets (T-55,BT-7,BT-5,Churchill VII) and after working on my Premium Dragon SU-100, and can see the results a little PE can do.

Here's what I have so far.






Not perfect, but I'll get there slowly. I got another thread around. I think I'll post some build pics.
