Hello friends

Here is a little assortment of Garage signs for Polish scenes, I used an online translator so I´m not sure if the word is correct, if not please tell me so I can correct the images

Are these signs based on some historical photographs? I wonder if usage of the word "garaż" was different 70 years ago. Today we use this word to describe "a building or indoor area for parking or storing motor vehicles", while the word "warsztat" or "warsztat samochodowy" is used to describe garage as "a commercial establishment for repairing and servicing motor vehicles". But it could have been different during and before WW2.
Also the small picture of a car on one of the signs looks more like something from the 1960's or later - cars just din't look like that during WW2
