I am building a German K-5e 28 cm Rail gun in 1/35. I started using Tamiya TS-3 Dark yellow 100 ml spray lacquer paint. went on great etc. I also have some Tamiya XF-60 Flat dark Yellow. When I tried painting small parts the color is off. Not a match,

So I think I read somewhere that you can decant a spray can and use the resulting liquid paint with a brush. Can this be done and if so how? Use a straw or perhaps one of those tiny straws that cone with aerosol paint cans? Any advice?
Help. I just need it for small bits and spots so I don't have to mash huge areas.
Thanks.

Im surprised nobody replied to this as i noticed that alot of people around me do decant some sprays. Mostly primers...

I do have to caution you that decanted paint is airbrush ready paint so it will be a bit on the thin side for brushing. You might have to layer your paint if you use that method.

On another website i frequent i made a bit of a quick tutorial on decanting. The comments hide a tip or two as well:

Good luck!

I did the neanderthal trick before good enough for small touchups...
spray a little into a cup (or even the cap) and dip the brush... done
