Hi Kevin,

Nice work. Panda Plastics make neat tracks. What sort of set comes with the kit?

Al

The kit comes with DS Track, cuff design. From which I found almost all British units switched the Sexton to when it arrived in the field, while some Canadian units did.

Still waiting on the decals, but the track have been painted and the initial weathering done. The Panda tracks look great.

The tracks look great! Are the tracks workable?

They can be made workable, but some of the pins are not well formed. I glued then formed the tracks like people do with Magic Track, which I seem to find works just fine.

Well after battling a bad cold and my son having emergency appendix surgery, I have got the beast together, track installed. Now the weathering process can commence, and get this finished off.

I must say, other then the fit issue on the rear deck, this has been a great kit to build, and I would recommend it to anyone. It can be build right out of the box, but I would recommend changing the bogies, and the Resicast are are a great set.

So, I will be back with a weathered, completed Sexton.

A beautiful build. Looking forward to the weathering! As an FYI for those that don't know...the Shermans used in Band of Brothers have CDP tracks like these. A good source of what they look like in use...

I asked because, the teeth aren't touching the tracks on the outside.

Looking good! How did you find the Vallejo for air? I've not tried any yet so was after an opinion as I've got quite a few Allied bits to build and thought I may do a bulk spray...lol

I really like the Vallejo Air, and even more that I have started using the Vallejo thinner. I find it goes on well, and there is a good range of colors.

Well almost there, little more weathering, mostly dusting, and some more flat clear coat, and I might be willing to call this done.

The stowage is mostly Value Gear, with a little Verlinden thrown in.

This has been a real great kit, which can deliver excellent results. I would highly recommend this kit, with the ResiCast Bogies and Panda Plastic Tracks.
