Hi,
I'm having problems with my Vallejo matte varnish.
It is the new polyurethane type.
I have thinned it with distilled water & when either sprayed or painted on it leaves a 'frosty' looking finish on my work.
I also use their satin & gloss varnishes & dont have a problem with them.
Am I doing something wrong?
I have tried different room temperatures & humidity levels but it is always the same.
Any ideas?
Thanks for your help.

Joe.

That happened to me when the pressure on my compressor was too low.

I have used all 3 of the new varnishes and they all work well for me.

I cut them 50/50 with Vallejo's AB thinner, and spray at about 18lbs, comes out great.

Hi Joe

I love the Vallejo polyurethane Matte varnish, with im I get a good matte finish.

I thinned with usual Vallejo Thinner without problems.

Okay, thanks fellas.
I'll try thinning with the AB thinner & turn the pressure up a bit & see what happens.
I'll let you know how I get on.

Joe.
