So I've got the itch to do a larger scale model, and I think I'm going to tackle one of Trumpeters 1/16 scale T34's. I had a couple of questions though.

First, are there any aftermarket addons or PE for these tanks? And second, are there any indispensable books on the T-34 to have on hand while building one? Well, apart from Mythical Weapon. I'd love to have that book, but the prices it commands these days are well out of my price range.

Part do 3 sets for the /85 version, which include some much needed parts like the rear engine panel frame, springs for the machine gun ammo racks and instrument panels. Haven't heard of anything for the /76 though.

Personally, I would go with an /85 as even though it mostly has post-war features like the radio and external parts, it's still better than scratching the ammo holders and modifying the fighting compartment walls on the /76. I'm planning to build mine as an East German training version, with grain of wheat bulbs in the lighting fixtures. I'll have to scratch an air compressor and PSU for the radio though.....

Yeah, I noticed the Part PE sets while doing some research last night. Hard to find though. The only place I found selling them was a euro company and they wanted over $100 for all three sets, which is a little pricey for me, considering it's just some PE addon.

Hopefully I'll find someplace cheaper if I keep looking. Maybe pick up the Hussar ammo as well.
