There had been a dozer variant based on the forerunner of the S-65, the S-60, but I've never seen something similar for the S-65

S-60 dozer :

Thanks for posting that photo. It certainly looks like the S65 didn't have a dozer variant but it's surprising that it didn't seeing as the platform was there. Maybe it's because they had other dozers at the time?

Dear Frenchy !

I think in another way - below is the image of BGM bulldozer on S-65 chassis:

Sadly, there were very few such machines produced in the USSR in that period - the "hand work" was used mainly.

So, Your S-60 image and this S-65 image are very rare photos of Soviet bulldozers from the Thirties - Fourties period.

Thanks for the image Eduard, perhaps we will see an aftermarket-set from the known A-M-companies.
This would be very nice!

greetings and thanks...

Thanks for that. So it looks like it's only the chassis that was from an S65?

Is the photo you've provided the bulldozer version of the CHTZ or is it some other dozer using an S65 chassis?

Sure. The help is on the way.

Alex:

Answer for David:

Sorry, I do not know any information about exact producer of this S-65 bulldozer version.

I believe the S65 dozer photo is after war photo (late 40's maybe early 50's). And the dozer index is D-149. It was usually seen installed on S80 tractor. The bulldozer hardware itself was produced by the plant «Nikolaevski Zavod Dormashina» in the city of Nikolaevsk not by ChTZ.

While investigating stalinets based dozers, i found, that there actualy was prewar dozer, based on both S-60 and S-65 tractors. It was D-54 hydraulic dozer, also known as BGM. This tractor is seen on picture above. Production start date is stil unknown, but production was halted before 1950. Thanks to TCFS.ru forum user ANTON i've got blueprints of this machine. here they are.

Excellent, Dmitry ! So, I was right about BGM.

And I always say - the archives, old books/magazines, private collections/archives contains hundreds and hundreds of such brilliant stuffs, undiscovered yet. Simply we must to be very patient, to be persistent, and must to dig deeper...

Thank You for this thread update !
