Shameless gun truck modeling plug meant to tease 'ya! Not enough new trucks are appearing on Site - what's going on here?!? TRUCKS RULE!

For your consumption - in-progress gun Jeep "California Dreamer" and a M51 Dump Truck conversion in-progress into a "yet to be decided but probably will become 'Invader II'" Engineer Armored Convoy Escort truck.

You got it right on the Dreamer Gunnie. Looking to see it finished. Are you going to convert the dump truck into one of the Engineers gun trucks per chance? You have to do the the engineers GT it will be the first model seen on the net. And Gunnie it should be you who is the first

Jim,who makes that conversion for the dump truck? What is the donor kit for it? Or is it scratchbuilt? #:-) (++)

Heh heh heh - more Glee!

Dave - it's gonna be an Engineers GT - I've got this basic truck narrowed down to either "Invader II" or "The JUDGE" (520th Engineers and not the M54 box-style GT).

GZ - the M51 Dump is based on the Real Model M929 Dump Conversion, backdated to the appropriate period. My example of the conversion, like everything else I seem to get from Real Model, leaves a lot to be desired. Heck - I won't hold back - it's virtually unusable! You can use it as pattern masters for your own scratchbuilding work. The Cab is my own work and the donor chassis is a shortened Italeri M925 5-ton truck subassembly with my own suspension components and Real Model 5-ton standard truck tires (which are good).

Outstanding work Gunnie, you never cease to amaze me. If you do get up here, I've got a couple of dumps in the motor pool.

Geeeze Gunnie, do you ever sleep? work work work. Wonderful updates. like a breath of fresh air when we see another vehicle sitting unpainted on your table.

And that's another thing, does anybody else dream about resin casting items you see everyday?
Find yourself looking at trucks at intersections for details on weathering?
check out tire treads?
look at windshields for blade marks?
look for "wear spots" on vehicles then make mental notes?
...these are the first signs of addiction...ain't it great?
