Well hello again,
I started this build back at the end of 2010, I had to put it on the hold due to deployment to Afghanistan in May of 2011. It's been a year since I have been back. It's time to finish this along with my M1151 since I'm retired now. Here are some pictures of where I'm at with the build
Any feedback is welcome

Its really cool I have that exact kit in my stash. I plan on making it as a Canadian Artillery MLRS. They have looked into the rocket systems whether they ever go that way who knows but I enjoy making vehicles I think they should have. Any way its nice to see the interior, I don't the add ons for the kit at least right now. Photo etch is very new to me and something that I will be getting into with some kits I have. Welcome home good to see that your deployment went okay. I left the Canadian Military around 94 so long before they got busy. I went into Law Enforcement and am now on disability after 18 years. Stay safe!

This kit has been on my list, for some time. That photo-etch looks essential. I'm following.

As you are obviously highly detial oriented, might I suggest changing out the wheels as well? The Legend Bradley wheels or if you can somehow manage the sprues from Meng would be perfect. I say this not just because they are correctly undercut, but because they are the correct diameter as well. The kit wheels are tad off.

Looking good!
Only nitpick that I may suggest, you might want to remove a track link, because most US tracked vehicles do not have as much track sag on them. Either way it looks great, look forward to seeing more updates.

Welcome to retirement. I too thought I would get a ton more modeling done after retiring but have since been in school having the life and all my hoped for hobby time devoured by studies, homework and home repair. Your MLRS is looking good. It’s hard to see but is that an old RT524 radio in the cab? The Friulmodel tracks look convincing, I need a set of those for an LVTP7 I have in the stash. But, looking at the track I think you mounted them backwards. The “arrows” should point down as seen from the front. Otherwise the pads had a tendency to get ripped from the track blocks because the grouser of the block is at the tip of the “arrow” to help strengthen the pad/shoe. Looking forward to more progress pics.

Yes you are correct about the tracks being on the wrong way. I will get that corrected. Thanks. This kit will reflect the Desert Storm War
