MiniArt has a 1/35th scale Tram in the works which should make for a great central model in a diorama.

Thanks Darren, Looks like another gotta have kit.
If there is as much details in the kit as in the drawings. Then WOW ! I saw straps for standing passengers, Chandelier style lighting. Hopefully there will be a cobblestone & Rail street base for it. Maybe some period advertising placards. A great new offering from the Folks at MiniArt.

"Happy" doesn't begin to describe it

Thing is, we have a really old looking tram that runs through the Heliopolis neighborhood right in front of the president's palace where some of the latest demonstrations and skirmishes.. and I had this idea of incorporating a tram in a diorama about what went down there. I don't know if I can pull it off, but at least I got one component of the dio I don't have to worry about trying to scratch!!!
Great modelling times indeed

Is this the same type that runs around Lisbon?

Each city has their own tram design, let the experten talk about wich city does this one belongs
It realy doesn't look like a lisboeta tram
They look more square and short, it`s more a central europe design
The Arnhem ones look different too

It's not the same, but it reminds me of a Dutch tram car used in Amsterdam :

Oh c'mon Bill! Tell us how you REALLY feel!
I'll get one for sure. They're pretty sizable in 1/35. I'm guessing from the ones you could ride in S.F. not too long ago. I think Warriors had a resin kit out some years back. Pricey then also, but the only game in town.
Cheers!(for the Muni)

I like how the underside is completely detailed, you could display it in a 'Fall of Berlin" type diorama on its side.

This is so annoying..... Everytime I decide I don't need any more kits another company comes around the block with an item that is a total must have.
Yeah there really is not a single way that this would not end up in my collection.

I guess I've found it ... or at least a
very close match ! (to say the truth, I've found Richard Avezaat's post about it on ML

)

It's a German tram car built in 1913 (!) by MAN/SSW. The one above has been restored by the Nurnberg tram museum (Triebwagen 641). It was used there until 1966... :
