Greetings all,
Been a while since I have been here but here is my latest work from start to finish.
Very basic application of glue, paint, decals and some weathering.
No aftermarket bits used.
The mud is poster paint and fine sawdust.
Before Assembly
After Assembly
Some Painting
Throw in the mud
Cheers

@TanKdy - Li Choo,
Very interesting seeing this ancient Airfix example done after having done the early and late production Dragon offerings. Your build looks cleanly done and the painting quite effective. It's nice to see the addition of shadows to make all those rivets heads stand out. Just my personal taste but I rather preferred it before the mud.
Thanks for sharing and hope to see more of your work in the future.
@McGrump - Jeremy,
I've built one of these beasts in the past and have another in the stash. The older one had black vinyl tracks while the newer boxing has them in silver. The tracks are surprisingly thin and thereby somewhat delicate but they fit snugly but not overly tight and have a bit of elasticity to them. Considering its age, it's a pretty decent kit.
Cheers,
Jan

Considering the ancient lineage of this kit, it turned out very nicely indeed!
As Jan mentioned, I do all washing (both overall filters and pin) before any additional weathering.

Hi all,
Thanks for your comments and opinions - the tracks were soft, flexibe and a to put together.
I ended up sewing the ends together with fine brass wire.
I only applied Citadel Shade wash for the panel lines and rivets.
The inclusion of mud was in anticipation of putting it on small diorama base.
Whatever the result, this beats World of Tanks
Cheers
