That's taken just after 3 months in the field, through the wash rack, and then a long blast all over from the pressure washer. You can see the paint really failed on the #4 roadwheel, while #1 & #3 rusted. #2 was put on near the end. Paint is just the 2-tone, which was a bit unusual as the ADATS were the old 3-tone, the 577's were generally monotone green, and the other 113's were NATOflage.

I'm in also. Although I was a tank gunner in Desert Storm, I will be paying tribute to one of my uncle's that fought in WWII. Now all I need to find is a really good kit for a "Long Tom" and a GI crew to man it, any suggestions?

Still waiting my my M1A1 kit to arrive along with the aftermarket parts I have ordered for it. Most of it is coming from outside of the US so shipping times are a little lengthy. Also, I am going to do my Uncle's 155 Long Tom and on that I am still researching all of the details before purchasing the needed pieces.

Dont think I will EVER have my kits to do what I want. I really dont want to buy a Legend Maxx Pro, and Still have to figure out how to get the Maxx Pro Plus look on it ( dual rear wheel, MEAP kit, wire mit kit Etc). Some day when Riich or Kinetic gets their kits out there..... that or the RG-33 is going to have to go for it.

Hi guys,
Sorry I have been MIA. I was going to buy some kits, but then our government shut down and I don't have any money to spend on this ATM....
Also, school is keeping me VERY busy.
Is there anyone willing to help lead this campaign with me, because I won't be able to be here all the time? If so, please shoot me a PM and we can figure out how to add another leader.
Can't wait see you guys build! Hopefully I get paid soon and I can get to building!

Brandi I'm furloughed too but mission essential and have to work any way. I have wanted to do several M60s so I have a 6 kit stock pile so I was able to start right away. So far I have entered campaigns I have kits for. Next purchase will be the M103.

Here's the 3 kits I'm planning on building for this campaign. I'll be covering 3 different generations. WW2, Korean War and the 1980's
1. SS John W. Brown (1/700).
I'm building this to honor my father and his service with the US Merchant Marine service during WW2. WHile he did not serve on the SS John W. Brown He did sail on other Liberty Ships, and served in all 3 Theaters, Atlantic, Pacific and the Meditterean/ Middle East
2. M4A3E8, Korean War. (TASCA 1/35)
This build will represent a M4A3E8 assigned to the tank company 17th Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. My end goal is to attempt to recreate the black and white scene. To honor some Korean War Vet friends who served in this Regiment during the War and the same regiment I would serve in 30 years later.
3. M966 (M1046 Tamiya 1/35).
I'm building the M1046 as a M966 that I commanded for nearly 3 years while assigned to the Tow platoon 3 Bn 17th inf, 7th Inf Div (L)

Well I finally got started last night. I corrected the belly by adding the inspection drain plates and correcting the drivers escape hatch. My M60A1 had an oval hatch and no bolts on it. I know no one sees the bottom but this was my tank. I was signed for it as a PFC.

John I still have my TM from my M60A3 if it can help. Ialso have my M1 Tm and the MERDAC cammo manual with all the equipment diagrams. I put this build on hold and moved on to the T54/55 campaign. Will have to move back and forth.

Thomas thanks a lot, i have mine also and the loading manual for the M60A3. I have kept all of the TMs of the tanks i've been, no matter if they have been retired. Regarding the multiple builds, i know what you mean, i was away for some time and have to catch up in a number of campaigns.

I am busy in a couple of other campaigns at present, however I ordered a Maurice Corry figure 1/24 of a soldier in Northern Ireland and he has arrived and I have a 1/24 Landrover so I am good to go. Will upload pics asap.

@ Peter:
It is a nice kit but it needs a lot of work to make it accurate and upgraded to an A2 standard that I served on!! I also want to put it on a firing point like we did in Grafenwohr Germany, Camo nets an all!!

Ok back on this one again. Most of it is assembled and primered and ready for paint. The only problem is that i do not like the main gun given in the kit. It does not look like an M68A1. I looked for an after market one but did not find anything. Since it has a tight fit i wont glue it and if i find another in the future i'll replace it.

I am getting a whole new view and another couple places to say I have been thanks to Uncle Sammy. Currently in New Mexico at a portion of Fort Bliss, and heading to Stan in the near future. Might be one of the last ones in country!! this ought to be fun... said no one ever LOL.
