This looks like a lovely kit. Has a price been listed as of yet? I'm afraid of sticker shock.

I would assume it shouldn't be too bad...a FT was a very small tank. I'll go out on a limb and say its roughly the size (in 1/16 scale) of a Sherman or maybe a Tiger in 1/35

I saw Renault Tank in Museum of Army in Brussels, it is very small (4,10 m without a "tail" - about the size of small compact car) so the price should be resonable
Lenght of the tank with tail in 1:16 it will be about 31,2 cm or 12,5 in.

Certainly looks impressive from those CADS. Especially as it's their first kit.
If it's successful then I hope they could do a WW1 Male and Female tank. New kits of those important tanks are long overdue.

Guess I was wrong about the price:
http://www.pacmodelscatalog.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=PCM&Category_Code=TAK+ARM+1%3A16
$109.95 is a bit rich for my tastes esp from an unknown manufacturer...

That's about the price of two bottles of Jack Daniels Single Barrel, my poison of choice. I wonder which would be the better investment, the kit or the booze?
Oops, Just ordered the kit. Guess I'll have to build it sober.

I think it's about what I was expecting seeing as it's a larger scale kit. Time to start saving.

Greetings!
As mentioned on our web-site, the FT-17 comes with a full interior including the engine and tranny. Also has individual track links which are moveable. Markings for 3 tanks, so it seems reasonable to me, but that is just my opinion.
Thanks,
Ken

I have to agree it is in line with the Panda 1/16th scale 38t. I will be looking to pick one up.

I don't think $109.00 is too much for a 1/16 kit. Granted, it is the little FT but how many times have we spent over 50 for a 1/35th kit? See.

Just got this in an email from Pacific Coast Models:
"Takom (HK) International informed us that their new 1:16 scale kit of the Renault FT-17 tank with Girod turret and 37mm gun (TAK 16 1001) is now in production. This kit comes with a complete interior including the engine and transmission. It has individual track links and moveable road wheels along with decals for 3 tanks. The retail price is $109.95. Production should be finished in July and shipment as soon as possible will be arranged for us."
Looking forward to receiving mine in a month or so.
