Saw this picture on Yahoo and it looks like a makeshift wirecutter attached to the turret in front of the commander's station:

Has anybody else seen something like this?

Ditto here -looks like the wire cutter used in WW2 on the recon Jeeps . I might need to get one put on my 1/1 scale M1A1.

Paul,
Could be just a unit modification. Guys out in the field can come up with the strangest things. TurretToad could probably attest to this. I know I saw alot of "Field Modifications when I was on active duty with the 24th and know with the 49th.
MAN!!! I cant remember the name of the little book you see all around the motor pool that shows all these new modifications that come out and other things that have to do with PMCS of different equipment. There is a web sight for these books. TURRET or SABOT, can you help me on this one if you know what I am talking about.!!!!

Is that the one with the sergeant character that tells you what to do so you don't crack your head open or kill yourself? MSG Half-Mast.

Don't unit mods sometimes get passed up the chain and accepted? I'd think the wire cutters would be a good idea. The M2A2 side bins started as a unit mod didn't they?

THATS IT, PM Monthly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yup, the comic book one and the one with the Sargent!!! I knew some one would remember.
Yup, unit mods do get passed up through the motor officer/sargent or Battalion Motor officer. Everything has to go trough a chain of command.
So, I think its www.PMmonthly .com or something like that.
