Hello paint people,
I'm about to paint a streambed in the Pacific.
Resin "water" will be poured above with some pigment
to replicate color ( any recommendations re: color? ). I'm in need of recommendations on the color or colors I should use for the streambed? Re: technique, if I use pigments on top of the base color(s), I assume that I need to
spray clear acryllic over it before I pour the resin water?
Also, while I'm on the subject, any recommendations regarding the color of the soil around the riverbed?
Thanks mfor any help you can provide.

Hello Joseph,
I think it mostly depends if you want to have yout riverbed more soiled with rocks and stones or earth/mud. In the first case I would try to achieve different shades of grey or brown-grey, in the later case perhaps some tan to flat earth (perhaps Tamiya Flat Earth indeed). It will also depend on how you will tint your resin. These pics are from Guadalcanal. I think, they will give a first impression on the sahde of the riverbed as well as of the possible colors of the water. Pigments shpould be sealed before pouring in the water, I think.
