Hi all,
Just started on this AFK kit, Centurion Mk5/1. The kit itself contains almost everything you will need, including a small set of photo etched parts, metal barrel and brass wire. The suspensions are workable with copper springs.

BTW, does any body know how was the performance of the Centurions in Vietnam compared to M48s?

I also bought a nice upgrade set from voyager, and these little PE parts almost blinded me after finishing all the handles on the turret.

I tried to do the casting details with a TAMIYA Putty, it didn't work out very well and looks like some sand on the turret. How do you guys do it?

Any comments are welcome! Cheers

Justin

Looking good, I have the NATO version, and plan on doing a Canadian version.

Yet another one on my List... if you're searching for further information, try the firebasenam site... It's mainly a reenacting and living history page and has great details!

Thanks Kevin, Alex, Gerhard.
I have found some interesting information from a website written by an old Aussie folk Col Filtness. He visited a series of Centurions that had served in Vietnam, and he actually rode one of them! the website is here.

Following Hitorical pics are from the above website

This is Lt.Brennan with his .30 cal. 1970. His tank's call sign was 2 Alpha. Notice the basket holding .30 ammo box.

Another Centurion, 196064. Notice the conversion.

Cheers!
